Maul’s memories are a little jumbled up but he can recall Wesker’s way of waxing eloquent all too clearly. The first time they’d met he’d been rambling on in what seemed like non-sequiturs at the time. Sometimes it still seemed at least a fourth of what he said was being quoted from a book or other source of media.

’We share much in common. From the darkness both you and I are.’ Maul writes down in a large, blocky, almost childlike script, confident that is the truth as well.

Wesker smirks at this message. "Then may our shared darkness balance the light which everyone insists upon embracing and letting it burn away their sense of self."

Maul nods approvingly towards his friend. Wesker has a way with words that Maul himself can only ever dream of possessing. 'It's the only way to maintain true balance between us all'
